1. Do I have to pay when booking?
Yes. If you want to secure the booking, then payment is required to garantee your vehicle is secure. The minimum is 1 days hire cost or you can pay in full. If you only pay the minimum 1 days hire payment then you have to pay the remaining balance upon collection.
2. Can I reserve a specific make and model of van?
Yes. But only if the specific van you would like is available.
3. What documents do I need?
1. Full UK driving license (this DOES NOT count as proof of address).
Note: The old paper license is still valid, so you can bring this, but you will need to bring a photo id. (e.g. passport).

2. 2 x proof of address (We can accept original paper or PDF versions of these documents only. NO Pictures or Screenshots. You can send PDFs to info@bourne2hire.com. These must be sent the day before collection only).

Note: All documents must be dated within the last three months. Acceptable documents are:

3. License check code (this is case sensitive so if writing it down you must make sure it is exact). Which can be found here.
Note: If you prefer, you can bring your National Insurance number and we can do the driving license check on the gov website when you come.

4. What are the age limits to drive your vehicles?
You must between 23 and 70 and held your driving licence for at least 3 years.

And you must be 25 or over to drive vehicles over 7.5ton.
Minibuses are 25 or over to drive this vehicle.
Maximum age is 70

5. What happens if I return the van late?
If you return the van late you will have to pay a late fee, but if you are going to be late returning the van please contact the office and we will be able to discuss this further.
6. Do you offer collision damage waiver?
We dont offer collision damage waivers. But you can still get Van excess insurance from here.

7. Is there a limit to how many points I can have on my licence and still hire your vehicles?
Yes. You are allowed a maximum of 6 minor offence points i.e. (sp30 sp40).
If you have any other convictions you must notify us immediatley, I.e DR10, IN10, MS90.

8. How long is the day charge for?
The hire is up to 24 hours from the time of the booking time allocated.
9. What is the fuel policy?
The fuel level will be checked and noted before you leave. We ask that you bring back the vehicle on the same level.
10. What happens in the event of a break down?
All our vans are covered by RAC 24 hour breakdown cover. Details will be found on the rental agreement.
11. Can I take a vehicle to Europe?
Yes. We can provide you with European cover at an additional cost. Booking for this will have to be made in advance to allow us time to obtain a green card from the insurance company.
12. What happens if I get a speeding ticket or parking ticket?
The hirer is responsible for any tickets accrued during their hire and a £20 admin charge will be applied.

Your details will be passed on to any authorities for any enquires made regarding these matters.

13. Do you have a cancellation policy?
If you wish to cancel your booking please do this within 72 hours of your rental and you will receive a full refund. If you cancel after 72 hours you will lose your reservation payment.
